Bosch WFL2450 GB/01 - how to replace the Programme Knob?

Thank you for your helpful reply. I have checked the links you gave - the programme selector 172699 is listed as suitable for the WFL2450 GB/01, but not the intermediate coupling 172697 [info to help anyone else searching this thread later.] My first concern is whether a repair (by me) is...

Bosch WFL2450 GB/01 - how to replace the Programme Knob?

We have a Bosch washing machine WFL2450 GB/01 - the programme control knob has play on the shaft so you have to count the clicks to see which programme has been set. Is a repair practical? I can get a replacement knob (I think) but do not know what is involved in changing it - presumably...

Triton T30i electric handwash - repair, renew or replace?

Annoying that you can't replace a washer, but you only need to replace the Stabiliser Valve Assembly, not the whole handwash unit. Cheapest that I can see is £27.95 (inc postage & VAT) at shower-spares.co.uk - hope this helps.

Triton T30i electric handwash - repair, renew or replace?

Late feedback, but it might help someone else wanting to repair a Triton T30i. What I did, after getting no reply to my query in March 2011, was: 1) I bought a new handwash unit (for £45.36 off the shelf at TLC rather than the £61.91 that Triton wanted) as I feared that a repair would be...

    Every picture tells a story?

Not often, I hope - but if I do want to replace it (or take it out to make sure that the handwash is off) I want to do so in a few seconds. That was the purpose of my original post - to make the point that a little bit of forethought in positioning and/or choosing better kit by the...

Can you tell me what that tool is called, please?

    Every picture tells a story?

There is only 2cm between the slot & the side of the cupboard, and the fuseholder is a tight fit - you would need something with a bend in the shaft but a flat thin blade (so a tack lifter will not do.) I have a fair set of tools, but nothing that would do. Two things I forgot in my earlier...

    Every picture tells a story?

ricicle is right - and I don't recognise Mr Tinker's implement and wonder if it would work in the limited space. Monkeh may have "any number of ways to get that out" but a layman shouldn't have to have specialist knowledge in order to take out a fuse? I'm thinking of replacing the SFCU...

    Every picture tells a story?

A professional electrician installed these connection units in the undersink cupboard in my downstairs cloakroom. [They isolate the handwash and the light+fan, and the switch shuts off the fan.] It looked a neat job when it was done, 3 years ago - but can you spot the problem?

Triton T30i electric handwash - repair, renew or replace?

I have a Triton T30i electric handwash in an understairs toilet - 3 years old and it now leaks when someone tries to use it. I would like advice on whether to try & repair it, replace it with a new one of the same make & model - or whether there are more reliable makes & models of oversink...

New monitor has stopped my PC working with old monitor

Update - in case anyone chases this thread and it might help them. Glad to report that the new monitor is now installed & working. What was done before trying the new monitor again was to install DirectX 9.0 (as part of preparing to upgrade from XP to Windows 7 at some stage.) This...

New monitor has stopped my PC working with old monitor

Thanks, Bolty, I'll try that. I have eventually managed to get the PC to boot up in Safe Mode, using the old monitor, and have gone back to yesterday's Restore Point to eliminate whatever corruption had come in. I'll check for updates to the graphics drivers before trying the new monitor...

New monitor has stopped my PC working with old monitor

I have a PC which was working with XP Home. I tried replacing my old monitor with a new one (HANNS-G HL231DPB 1080P) and switched on. Nothing but a blue screen. I then replaced the old monitor, but now THAT doesn't work. What happens is: 1) The motherboard screen display shows for a few...

    Cost of underground wiring (30m/60m?)

Thank you to eveyone who has replied; in particular to comms, to riveralt and to Chri5 for giving me just the sort of figures I was after - so that I can explain, to the people who want the gates to be powered, (and to the others who would have to share the cost) just how much extra it would...

    Cost of underground wiring (30m/60m?)

I am getting estimates for an alley gate (security gate for a back lane serving 15 properties with garages.) Some users have asked about having a powered gate, and I have had quotes which assume that the power can come from the nearest house. My problem is that the owners of that nearest...

    strange pir security light issue

Like A1Electrical's customer, I had a standalone PIR feeding a separate light that 'stopped working' in that the light would come on and not go off. This happened on Monday evening; at first I put it down to a short power failure that we had on Monday morning having set it to manual over-ride...
