hi there thanks for the quick reply, it only happens when its calling for hot water, just tried using heating for a hour and noise didnt happen is it still heat exchange? would it be an air lock or fan etc? seems when the fan kicks in at highest temp it rattles. i thought it was loose pipes...

Hi all, Today when running the hot water tap i heard a loud rattling/vibration noise. Noticed its coming from the boiler. It's never done this before nothing has changed from yesterday to today with the boiler. The noise comes when the boiler gets up to its correct temp noise only occurs...

yep £100 per cubic meter is right. I had 3 cubic meters for my garage base it worked out cheaper to get the ready mixed than mixing myself buying from local builder supplies. And took 20 mins to pour all round happy days :) i had lafarge with the poly fibers cost 295 for 3 cubic meters...

hi yes rest of garage is insulated thats why i wanna insulate garage door also otherwise the rest seems a waste also :) got 6 inch on ceiling and 2 inch kingspan on walls. what thickness timber and also what type mdf or ply? i want to be able to remove it in one go etc like slide it out the way...

Cos of the way the old stud wall who ever made it designed it on for plasterboarding. Got sum plasterboard jointin compound will fill with that before skimming. Shud i pva filler b4 skimming? Thx m8

Hi all thx for that. Yep i will be plastering the area myself ive done a few walls ceilings in my house. Gaps on average are 5mm but one or 2 of the boards its about 10mm. Will be skimming fri will use multifinish its the only type ive used only because of it doesnt dry so quick lol

Hi all, just done a little bit of plasterboarding however with walls being not square i have some gaps where the plasterboards butt upto each other. Whats best filler to use before plastering? can i just use normal caulk filler? thanks in advance Lee

Hi had no joy with the council they came up and checked vibration levels to which i think they got completly wrong. They should come into my house and feel vibration whenever vehicles pass over speed hump, especially buses. I think to take it further must proceed with solicitors etc

Looks like polystyrene tiles to me, no1 uses them in uk anymore due to fire risks. just stick them back up, just use polystyrene adhesive to stick them back up if you wish to do so
