will it be ok to use jewsons building sand and ordinary portland cement, or would you recomend using something else?

the finish isnt to bad just looks a bit dull. I was going to u/c anyway just wondered about the colour, as i said in my earlier post seems silly painting over with grey U/C when door is already brown.

so then what would make a difference? the door is already painted conker brown. Can i get a brown U/C seems silly painting over brown with grey U/C only to paint brown gloss over it afterwards?

Hi ive got to paint a metal up and over door, its conker brown at the moment, can i rub it down with wet and dry then just gloss, or do i need to u/c first? if so what u/c would be suitable for conker brown? Thx

Hi ive got to paint red bricks and red tiles on the front bay of a house, can anyone recomend a good quality paint to do the job? Does it need to be a oil based paint, the tiles are rough faced.The bricks dont look glossy, so just wondering if it was a waterbased that was used before. any advice...

Yes the leak has been fixed but walls still have mould on them, if using fungacidal wash do you just paint it on and then emulsion after?

Hi ive got to paint interior walls, which has got mould on, caused by a water leak, i know you have to wash it down with a watered down bleach solution first, is it then a case of just emulsioning or should i use a stain block.

Hi All ive got to cove a hallway where the ceiling curves downwards where it leads into kitchen, do i try and piece it and follow the bend or maybe not put any coving on that section of the ceiling?

I'm guessing oil based as it looks quite glossy. What options have i got if water based aswell. cheers.

Hi All ive got to varnish a handrail it looks like a mahogany but it has wore away in certain places, do i have to strip it right back or can i just varnish over it?
