    Letting Agents

All agents are different. just have a chat person to person , and tell them you need the money for your cash flow, they've probably got more than 350 quid in their tea and biscuit kitty.

    ldv dodgy breaks

Took the pipe off at the servo , there was very little/no suction in the pipe. i then tried the second test you suggested, the break was already stiff and didn't move at all when I started the engine. Cheers. Mark

    ldv dodgy breaks

Thanks for the reply john. The air pipe to the evacuator pump seems to be in ok condition . If the servo is gone . is it something that can be repaired or does it need to be replaced? Cheers

    Don't Pay...

I think it's best not to be vindictive, especially if it isn't a life changing amount of money. Just remind your customer that they will always be in debt to you until the bill is payed . you can then keep on reminding them and their friends/family when ever you see them.

    Plastering ceiling tips

If you're not used to ceilings I would advise eye protection and a sponge float for the edges where the plaster can dry quickly. good luck

    Anyone used adjustable Ratchet Wrench

I tried a search on youtube. It's opened up a whole new world of spanners to me. the problem is that they show them turning well oiled nuts and bolts. not sure how they'd perform under real pressure.

    Shower outlet/sprayhead installation

Hi Spencer. I fitted one of these a while back with thicker board than yours and I had no problems. It's important that the o rings fit into the shower head . the elbow needs to be screwed into a noggin in your wall [assuming it's a partition wall] this gives the shower head its strength. It...

Thanke for the replies fellas. The floor was pretty uneven so in the end I got most of it up with a sds hammer then put down self leveller. I often use sbr slurry mix when plastering , handy to know it can be used with tiling too. Cheers

    LDV Pilot wherring sound

Hi maxsteam. thanks for your reply, I'm not sure if it's a belt, I've heard alternator belts and it's a loud screech, this is more like the sound of an electric milk float. it's related to the speed of the van as opposed to the engine revs. I suppose I should take it to a garage, I 'll have to...

Power tool makes to avoid ?

Hi noseall. I can only speak from my own experience, which was disappointing. I notice they've changed the design of the battery and drill now, so things have probably improved. Maybe I was expecting too much, or maybe I shouldn't have bought it off ebay (usa). Anyway good luck with yours.

    RSJs and structural Engineers

At the back of my house I have a room then a door into an extension. I would like to knock down the dividing wall and chimney breast, so that the dining room and extension are one room. I would expect to need two RSJs , one for the wall and one for the chimney breast and maybe some piers to rest...

Can't agree that marshalltown are overpriced, they're only £40 tops. That's cheap for a tool that will last years and years.
