I've tried that and it works fine when connected on its own to the push button. Its only weaker when both bells are connected to the push button.

Sound exactly like whats happening. Theres only about 8 metres of cable to the furthest bell. I've attached the new bell to the transformer with one of the wires going to the right hand terminal on the transformer and the other wire going to the push button then back to the underdome bell.

The new bell is 8v. I think its something to do with the fact that that both are connected to the push button but I wondered if anyone else had found problems and needed a bigger transformer?

Yes it is earthed to the tag on the gland. The colours weren't the standard ones so I've got some heat shrink for it. The cable goes under ground and comes out in a wall. (The garden steps down) I laid it when we started the kitchen extension while I had the chance.

I've put glands at either end and made sure the strands are cut correctly , opened out and the olive over it to secure in place.Just the 3 wires inside the outside socket. Same at cu end.
