Not enough height for build-in oven under hob, what to do?

I have a Miele K2354 hob installed on 38mm wood worktop and was planning to get a 60x60cm build-in oven under it. But just found out that most of the ovens is 577-579mm in height but I only have about 570mm under the hob. The oven also requires 5mm gap if fitted under a gas hob so I'm 10-12mm...

Mowing- what to do with branches?

Just got myself a petrol mower and did a quick mowing 2 weeks ago. I have a big oak tree in the front garden and there are lots of fallen branches. I can hear the blade cracking up the branches when I mow over them, will this damage my mower? I felt the right choice that I got the steel deck...

would you trust the new smart alarm system or better with traditional alarm?

Yep I think practical is the key, the alarm is not prevent intruders to get in, just to make it aware by people and maybe scare them off, so as long as it's stable and not causing a lot of false alarms, or too ealisy hacked, it should be fine. And I think the smart system when fully integrated...

would you trust the new smart alarm system or better with traditional alarm?

I'd stay with all wired if I had the wires there, the previous owner had the system install for most room but none for the hall way, kitchen, garage and 2 bedrooms upstaris. Didnt notice it until my renovation completed so now I'll have to go for 'hybrid', so I thought may as well try the all...

would you trust the new smart alarm system or better with traditional alarm?

Integration makes life easier :D The alarm system for me does not have to be integrated, was just interested in the new smart things, think it would be quite convient to be able to arm/unarm the system on the phone and get notifications when it's triggered or maybe even videos of the scene. I...

would you trust the new smart alarm system or better with traditional alarm?

The old alarm system has been disabled and half taken down when I had the house renovated, been thinking of getting a new alarm system and got a few quotes already, mostly Texecom system. 80% of the rooms already have wires in place so just replacing with new panel, PIR, alarm and adding a few...

    Hayter lawnmower or other recommendations?

Hi John, thanks a lot for your reply. Think I'll still go for an auto drive model even it;s single speed. This is my first time buying a mower so not very familiar with all the brands so I try to limit the options and go with recommendations backed up with first hand experiences. Is the Viking...

    Hayter lawnmower or other recommendations?

I might mixed it up with other mowers but will double check if it's plastic decking, but tbh I didn't mind as I think it's a lot easier to maintain and should be cheaper to replace if broken? Didn't pay attention to the single speed auto drive, but I assume it will help in my case for the...

how to 'infill' metal driveway gate

That's what I'm worrying, and if it's too thin it won't stand the wind if I only use screws to fix them onto the gate. Was looking at the composite decking boards but that's 7.5kg per 1.8m board, way too heavy for the gates!

how to 'infill' metal driveway gate

I currently have a metal gate at driveway, and am looking to make it looks like the below ' metal frame with wood infill gate' for more privacy and better look. Was thinking some timbers but not sure if the gate hinge will support the added weight ( the gates are automated swing gate), so...
