i,m going to start my dwarf wall soon as the weather permits and not sure on a couple of things so i hope somebody can put me straight. 1 do i fix the wall starter brackets above or below the DPC? 2 do i need a DPC behind the brackets themselves? 3 the wall will have a brick outer skin...

are thermalites ok to use under ground level for the inner skin of a wall? if not what would you recommend

sorry for not makeing myself clear, yes i do mean there is 6 course upto the dpc (4 course underground 2 above) its the underground brickwork i,m unsure of, can i use blocks for this for both the internal and external work as it is unseen, if so do they need to be a specific type?

i need to build a 600mm dwarf wall for conservatory, the foundations are in and there will be six course of bricks up to dp level (4 course to ground level) which bricks/blocks would be best for the first six courses upto dp level? also is a 50mm cavity ok?

is it ok to put a new concrete floor on top of an old concrete slab as long as i put a dp membrane on top of sand before laying the new floor?

ive dug the footings out ready for the concrete, but was wondering if i could leave the old slab in the middle and build the conservatory floor on top of it or do i need to dig that up aswell? the slab is 150mm below dpc.

im digging footings out for a dwarf wall and have come across a drainpipe, ive been told to bridge it but how do i go about it? do i dig deeper than the pipe then shutter it off making sure some concrete goes underneath or can i get away with digging half way down the pipe and then shuttering...

do i need permision to move a manhole if so who from the local council or water authority or both. is it a big job and what would be the rough cost to do so?

is there a paint on the market that i can coat my lead flashing which wont bubble or peel? coated it with hammerite last time but it didnt last long.

i am looking to refelt my 5m x 2m flat roof what kind of cost am i looking at for the materials and labour,or would epdm be better in the long run? im in sheffield so if anyone could suggest anybody please do.
