    Have you checked the VGA cable is in all the way ?? Some times, if you have moved the PC it can work a little loose and can cause this to happen ......

    A UPS supply is normally used on say a Server where you need it. As for a laptop I think it is a bit over the top to attach it !!! Maybe get it on the Bay of E ???
