Depends on what has been agreed in the work beforehand. It could be just a visual inspection with everything else as a limitation or it can be a full PIR where all cable runs are inspected fully, all circuits tested completely with any sensitive equipment and fixed loads being removed.

Lets assume a full PIR:

All cables runs inspected for damage and wiring methods, location, suitability/overheating
All accessories inspected for damage, location, suitability/overheating
Protective devices checked for correct suitability/rating
Main earthing/protective bonding checked
Circuit cpc continuities checked
Ring final circuits checked
Insulation resistance checked
Seperation of circuits checked
Polarity of supply and circuits checked
Ze checked
Zs of circuits checked
RCD times checked
Functional checks
