    I use dulux trade qdp or wickes own! I would like to tint the white to a magnolia-ish colour. What could I mix in to tint? without ruining the base paint!! Ta

    Emulsion over glitter impregnated product!!

    The interior wall of childs bedroom has glitter on the wall - which we want to emulsion over. Apparantly- the glitter was in a gel like substance and rollered onto wall. Any suggestions for a trouble free job! should I rub down and prime/seal with something first? Thanks in advance.

    Only thing I would add is - according to Dulux - this product is ok for exterior use as well. I posted this very question some time ago (exterior usage) and it seemed to cause some debate between the usual guys on here.

    Its just typical when you help out a friend - there are issues. They ordered the paper from a sample book - when I saw it i would guess it was as old as the hills - all dog eared! Also typical that on the one occasion I read the instructions - I should of ignored them !! Thanks for comments guys.

    Ready pasted vinyl made by fine decor -£16 a roll. Instructions were roll and dip for 10 seconds - unroll and hang. The issue i had was that after carefully smoothing out to remove bubbles it looked fine - but after 30 mins lots of bubbles were appearing. Some of these went back during the day -...

    metal garage door - is undercoat required before gloss.

    The existing gloss is ok condition wise - but faded. Can I rub down and re- gloss or do I need an undercoat in between? Maybe it depends on which gloss I use?

    Replacing std door with bi-fold door question

    The frame is an external frame (now indoors) measuring 78x30. We would like to fit a bifold door - but could use a std glazed door if too many issues. The issues are :- 1-original door was thicker than new door by 10mm ish- will have a gap between door and stops on frame. How to get round this...

    Thanks again Zampa. Is the acrylic primer/undercoat not water based as well? Presumably has properties that will avoid the potential problems you mentioned.

    As above! The ceiling is wood cladding previously painted with eggshell. Do I need to rub down before applying acrylic eggshell. Thanks.
