laminate flooring - which way to start boards in en-suite

are you saying you should def not fit around pedastal and wc. If these have been tiled around further up, it is a big job to take out and replace 10mm higher. Has anyone else cut around and left a gap to fill with silicon.

cutting laminate flooring around door frame and architrave

Is this sensible as opposed to cutting away the frame and architrave to slip the flooring under. I use templates to achieve a near perfect match and fill with wood colour acrylic filler. Which option is preferable and why?

laminate flooring - which way to start boards in en-suite

I always spend ages pondering over which way to lay boards (click fit)when starting a room with a door !!, pedestal and a wc. Should i aim to go across these or in line with them. What factors need to be considered. Sometimes you are unable to add a board due to it fouling the fixture itself...

    Emulsion over wallpaper

I thought I read on here that it was unwise to paint emulsion onto a vinyl type wall covering. Will this always fail and is there a solution(apart from taking the paper off - which he does not want to do!). Thanks

Best type of filler for plaster ceiling coving?

Something Zampa said earlier about the cove adhesive setting like concrete. I am sure I used some adhesive that was easy to sand - are there diff types. This was to fit paper faced polystyrene(YUK!) so maybe it is not as heavy duty as for plaster coving. Just curious.

Some of the bubbles disappear when dried, but some are still visible. I will have to sand down but...
