    just done the first coat, started to get hard as got darker. im planning to give one more coat with matt, and the final coat in silk. wooden beams in the loft are a bloody nightmare to paint round :x

    thanks for the reply, pva going back to b+q :D the plaster is very smooth, in fairness the plasterer done a good job. We chose silk as we can wipe it down, my son is staying up there + his friends, handmarks on matt you cant wipe. Do i just use the same instructions as above whilst using silk?

    I have had the attic plastered, it has completley dried out. What is the correct procedure on painting ? she bought pva glue and said i need to put that on first, why would i want to put pva glue on the walls, also have crown white silk emulsion.

    i never use the pull cord for the light, only the fan.

    We have a ceiling fan, few months old, if you pull the cord the blades start spinning, if you pull the cord for the lights, nothing at all, changed about 3 bulbs and still nothing, so can I assume that the electrics for the light is buggered.

    I thought they were all standard sizes TBH. Im going to try removing the screws, see if it adjusts, if not, back to B+Q for a refund.

    Just got a new toilet seat, £25. Just went to put it on and the holes dont match up, now either there are different size seats, something missing from the box or I have to remove screws that are already attached to the seat and adjust, I dont want to start fiddling, advice off here first please. :D
