    cold water storage tank overflow

Thanks for all your replies. The other puzzling thing about the water level is that it is 2-3" below the top of the overflow pipe. So unless it's cracked as John suggested I would expect it to be very near the top after I see the water outside. Slight aside - I was looking on the net at...

    cold water storage tank overflow

Hi Returned recently from a week on holiday and decking under the CWST overflow was quite wet. After normal water usage all was ok until a couple of times a little water evident first thing in the morning. I've searched the forums and I am going to replace the ball valve. However...

    How to clean decking?

Hi Taz777 (we like the sevens, don't we :D ) My deck was starting to look grubby so I did a search on cleaning methods and found that Oxygen Bleach could be the way to go. I did a fairly gentle power wash clean to the deck but honestly it did not do much. So I bought some Sodium...

Replacing Gas Oven with Electric Oven

I removed the screws completely and got the oven out and sure enough it has a bayonet connector. If I remove the bayonet do I have to get the pipe sealed off? Jim

Replacing Gas Oven with Electric Oven

My wife has lost faith in our Candy built in gas oven and would like an Electric replacement. I have loosened four screws at the front of the oven but it does not seem loose enough to remove. Can anyone advise on how to remove it, please? IIRC the gas oven is connected via a bayonet...

ABS repair - how to take a mould of shape

Thanks gregers, good suggestion but not sure if the silicon will be rigid enough for a mould - I'll give it a try. Micky. fibreglass and ABS are totally different and dont "mix" - however it may be possible to use some other kid of mesh/material to follow your suggestion. Food for thought...

    Advice requested on pointing paths

Thanks for your clear reply, keefersUK. Failing any alternative suggestions I'll follow your method. Can you recommend a plasticiser? The finish on the slabs is textured - like a rough sandpaper, and I read on another topic that they are easily marked. Thanks again Jim

    Advice requested on pointing paths

Hello again Having just finished another deck with advice from members I am now moving on to the next phase - a small artificial lawn. I have laid paths on three sides using Marshalls Saxon Mocha, however I did not point them at the time. The main path has been down more than a year and...
