    Which multi-tool to get?

Hi all. I am after a solid multi tool for general DIY tasks (nothing professional). The following are my preferences: - corded - variable speed - quick changing mechanism (no hex key) - dust extraction adapter - storage box to store tool, blades etc I’m looking to spend around £70, so I’m...

    Scantronic 9561 - reset

Hi I have just moved into a property that has a Scantronic 9651 alarm but the previous owner did not leave behind the code so I am unable to reset to a new code. Is there any way that I can reset this system and create a new code for myself to use?

    Toilet flushes on 3rd attempt

Yes it does. What wont help me is that my inlet is on the same side as the handle so that type of float valve probaby wont fit as it will hit the syphon

    Toilet flushes on 3rd attempt

I topped up the water manually by just pouring a few cups of water from the sink nearby. This seems to work as it flushes first time. The problem with adjusting the float valve to the working water level is that the ball goes over the top of the cistern so when I put the lid back on, the ball...

    Toilet flushes on 3rd attempt

The syphon matched up fine on all dimensions other than the height where it was maybe an inch taller but I was told this wont be a problem by the DIY store. There isn’t a water level marked on the syphon.

    Toilet flushes on 3rd attempt

The syphon was changed yesterday. As I mentioned, prior to changing this, the toilet would not flush at all as the original valve was damaged. I will upload a photo when I get the chance. This is the new syphon...

    Toilet flushes on 3rd attempt

Hi all I have a problem with my toilet and was hoping somebody could help. My toilet was not flushing at all so I had a look at the syphon and the diaphragm film appeared to be damaged so I replaced the entire syphon unit. Now after the replacement, the toilet does flush but requires you to...

Install 3 way water filter tap

It looks like it is a push fit adapter for the copper pipe. In my case, where would I screw my 1/2" Flexi nut to?

Install 3 way water filter tap

I need something to connect to the 1/2" flexi hose on one side and then connect to the 1/4" tubing in the other side. The instructions for the water filter system were based around a separate tap which I do not want to use as I already have a 3 way tap.

Install 3 way water filter tap

Hi I just purchased a 3 way tap that came with 1/2" flexi hoses for each of the 3 holes. 1 hose is for the hot water and 1 is for the cold water. The 3rd one is for the filtered water. I am using an undersink water filter system that connects to a tap via a 1/4" plastic tubing. How on earth do...

    Hotpoint WF541 error code F05

Hi, recently my washing machine has started flash lights 2 and 4 towards the end of a cycle. The water does not drain. I have done my research and this error code points to a possible pump blockage. I have checked the pump at the front bottom as well as the drain pipe that goes to under my sink...
