    Electrical Wiring for a GAS hob...

    Hi I need to wire in the electrical componant of a gas hob, used only for the spark to light up. Can I attach this as a spur from the oven iso switch so long as the iso switch does not have a plug socket built in? Is adding another spur to the ring main best?

    The size of my MCB/ISO switch

    I have recently downgraded from a 10.8kw to a 10.5kw shower. I have a 50 A iso switch, and a 50A mcb. The current I have calculated to be 45.5 A down from 47A. Do i need new MCB and iso switch, and is 45A ok for both?

    How about a big peice of acrylic, can even buy it on ebay in different colours. Can be easily cut and polished. Or, perhaps you could use cuboard doors with no handles... just an idea.

    Your TV looks a reasonable height, but I have seen this done at a mates house and it was a pain in the arse watching TV, as good as it looked! The problem was the TV was way to high on the wall, you're always having to look up, it really annoyed me.

    Dodgy Electrics

    This is definately friction damage not heat damage. The damage is on the top side of the wire, and its on both the hot and return pipes, which wprobably wouldn't be much more than 60 degrees (at a guess).
