Hi I need to wire in the electrical componant of a gas hob, used only for the spark to light up.

Can I attach this as a spur from the oven iso switch so long as the iso switch does not have a plug socket built in?

Is adding another spur to the ring main best?

Ok, So does this spur also need a fused switch easily accessible, because thats going to make a mess of my wall!

Yes you do need a switched fcu, sorry but you can't bake a cake without breaking eggs.

Does it need to be as accessible as the oven switch?

One of the reason I was wondering is because the hob actually came with a normal 3 prong plug.

the isolator does need to be as accessible as the cooker switch,if it came with a plug attached you can either plug it into a switched socket or fit an fcu
