Hi,

I am installing a new electric oven and gas hob in place of an old electric oven and hob.

old setup

cu 32amp mcb > cooker switch with socket > outlet panel (6mm wiring) > oven.

new oven is 2700 watts

proposed setup

cu 32amp mcb > cooker switch with socket > outlet panel (6mm wiring) > unswitched FCU with 13amp fuse > Double socket (2.5mm wiring) dp

13 amp plug with 3 amp fuse for hob
13 amp plug with 13 amp fuse for cooker

Does this sound acceptable? Not sure if The hob/oven wiring should be fixed, appliance instructions indicate otherwise hence the above configuration.

comments/guidance welcomed.

What's the point of the FCU?

Why not just replace the outlet plate with a socket?

forget the plug onthe oven I have hardwired the oven into the back of the so ket, FCU therefore protects the oven.
