Hi All Going to tile and redec kitchen this week. Potential problem is that behind cooker plaster is greasy from cooking fat / splashes. will sugar soaping thorouly be good enough to give adhesive a chance to "stick" Thanks in advance of advice Tony

Thermo is right - try again.. It's not a massive amount of bricks. If you take your time and keep checking there's no reason why you won't get a satisfactory job at the end. At least you now know what it looks like when it's wrong!! Knock the muck of those bricks and have another go - it will...
