    Dimmer problem

Hi Steve, I realise it might seem a bit strange, but the lights in question are in a restaurant that I own. I am a plumber, and my wife runs the restaurant. I only really pass through the restaurant, and therefore don't have much to do with the day to day running of it, and as you can...

    Dimmer problem

Thanks for your help Rebuke. Changed over the switch & removed Low Energy bulb. That seems to have solved the problem. I'll repost if the problem persists even with the Low Energy bulbs out. Thanks again, Gary AMDG

    Dimmer problem

UPDATE: Just checked and it turns out the 'bright bulb' turns out to be a halogen bulb! Would this be the reason for the switch blowing? Thanks Gary

    Dimmer problem

Hi there, I have two rows of five pendent lights, each with a 60w bulb, which are controlled by a 2 gang dimmer switch. The other day, one side of the lights went out, so I replaced the old one with one from Scre**x it's a 2G 2W 2 x 400VA. Worked fine, but I noticed that the light furthest away...

    Matching Mosaic & floor tiles

Hi gcol, It's actually a wet room, where there's no shower tray as such, but a preformed tray below the surface of the tiles. So it's a choice of using mosaics that shape to the form & run of the sub surface tray, or cutting full tiles to adopt the run of the tray. I think the latter would be...

    Matching Mosaic & floor tiles

what makes a good Electric shower?

Hi there, You can still have an electric shower if you prefer it to the pumped/thermostatic. However, the feed for the electric shower must come from a mains fed pipe. In my experience though you'll get a better shower stronger flow/temp from a pumped thermostatic, although they can be a bit...

    Combi Problem

You know Gavinda, don't judge everyone by your own moral standards. There are still some people out there with a decent tongue in their heads. I think this is where we part company, so if you don't mind keep your vitriol to yourself where I'm concerned. Don't bother replying. Tipper thanks...

    Combi Problem

With the greatest respect Gavinda, it's not about the point you're both trying to express, it's the manner in which you're doing so. If I'm looking for second rate sarcasm I can get that from my teenage daughter any day. Stick to the FACTS rather than referring to people as 'lemons'...
