I have painted 2 plywood fire doors, i gave them 1 coat of emulsion and then 2 coats of gloss but still do not look right, can still see dark shades from the plywood, i should have given a few more coats of emulsion until all white but never mind, lesson learnt. What to do from here though...

I put a standard cavity back box in for the cooker connection. I bought a volex connector and plate but notice the screw holes on the face plate are lower than central, where screw holes for back box are, is this the wrong type of back box?

Looking at fitting a nest, hive or other sort of digital thermostat system. I have gravity system with HWC and tanks etc, not looking for zonal management, just the ability to switch on from app. What system is both best and most reliable ?

Changing the programmer seemed to sort the issue out.

If i put the programmer to continuous and then increase the water thermostat, the boiler should kick in, if it doesn't then it could be thermostat for water or programmer. Are water thermostats pretty teliable

Got a honeywell st 9400c programmer on a gravity fed system. Been having issues getting hot water, set programmer timings for 3 times a day but then no hot water. Changed the actuator valve head but still playing up. Is it likely to be the programmer or hot water thermostat?

Sparky is going to upgrade the gas mains earth back to the main board. he also going to put a earth on the water mains back to the main board as only earthed across the meter. Thanks for comments.
