moving from Complex (dual) meters to single E7 meter

Yer, the complex is way to pricey. I am paying for two standing charges and the off peak is about the same as a normal day rate on a cheap supplier. I cant switch around, I have to stay with EDF. I am told the EDF fitters can fit both CUs to the always on. Or use a Henley splitter.

Hi, finall getting rid of the pricey complex metering. EDF are coming out soon to remove my 24hrs meter and fit an E7. Then sometime after that, remove my second deemed off peak meter that switches on for up to 10 hours a day. Of course I need some sort of timer for when I loose this meter. Each...

Odd (to me) garage leccy setup

https://photos.app.goo.gl/XdcNMpMf5Vriot5J2 Above are some images of the garage leccy setup. The garage has a door lifter, plus emergancy light. The high level and low level sockets are each on their own MCB. What I don't understand is, why is there a "rocker/non latching" switch above the...

When I removed the top of the plate (broke off) under the nail head was a washer of sorts. These locks are fitted to every room! Maybe I can drill out the nail?

Can't remove 2 Lever mortise, nailed in?!

Fracture was me trying to get it out! I have had handles and bar out, screws off. Tried to pull the lock out by grasping the driver on both sides. Also hitting it with a hammer, trying to prize it out with a flat headed screw driver (hence the marks). Also tried shouting and swearing but its def...

Can't remove 2 Lever mortise, nailed in?!

Hi all, in my 60s property, the bathrooms have key operated 2 lever mortise locks. I want to remove them and replace with WC latch mortises. However, I can't get the old mortise out! I removed two screws, but it appears there are two flush nails also securing the lock. Any ideas? James

F&B Estate Eggshell now more glossy!

Hi, I am using the Estate Eggshell in Pavilion Gray. You can see from the pics, after I touched up a few areas, its gone very glossy. Any ideas? I used the rest of the tin to paint another section of stair case and its seems much more glossy. https://photos.app.goo.gl/s1YnH5G0OW9KZ0d83...

    Getting replacement CU(s)

The supplier said they can fit a single smart meter and keep the off peak rate. So, any ideas how I would get a digi timer fitted to the floor heating and the hot water?
