    A mates asked me to replace a section of there guttering thats leaking, so just wondering if its just a case of cutting the section out, getting some more guttering of the same kind, cutting it to size an snapping it back in place? or is there more to it than that? :wink:

    the last meter or so may be run in 15mm (hence the 15mm connections on boiler) but the majority of the pipe work must be in 22 to allow the applaince to get enough gas to work efficiently and to its max capabilities

    this isnt really the best positioning for a shower pump, when its above the tank like this its alot more prone to drawing air into the pipe from the hot water cylinder, idealy they should be positioned on the floor next to the hot water tank if you have enough room to do so, You can try...

    if it was working for months before its unlikely to be the cylinder running out of water, espoecially after nly 2-3 mins, sounds like the pump may be drawing air into the pipe, which is why its still working on cold but not the hot. Where is the pump positioned in relation to the hot water tank?

    I'd bet you have a plastic raised shower tray, rather than a stone resin one that sits on the floor. With these raised plastic shower trays there is alot of flex in them when someone is standing in it, and grout is not flexible so it may look like ts made a seal but when you stand in shower...

    this would most likely be the cause yes, try tightening the nut from where the water is leeking from then top up the boiler again

    place the presure reducing valve as close to the stop tap as possible (to do whole house) or just on the feed to a individual tap if you only wanted that one reducing adding a pressure reducing valve on cold mains wont affect a shower pump, make sure you position the pump correctly though...
