Advice needed regarding staining veneered MDF

I did contemplate buying veneer and cut MDF then sticking the veneer on myself but I've not done it before, nor do I know how to trim the veneer off so would more than likely end up making a mess!

Hi All, I want to replace the drawer and door fronts of our bathroom vanity unit and can order some pre-cut veneered MDF. I'm looking for a dark walnut / oak but unfortunately the darkest walnut veneered MDF I've found is too light. Can I stain this or should I order oak veneered instead and...

What is the best sandpaper for electric sander?

Oh yes. It will be the Bosch Universalsander 18v which has a delta and rectangular plate. Would this mirka mesh be suitable for keying paint? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mirka-5412805018-Abranet-Grip-180-pack/dp/B006H4CLV4?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&th=1

What is the best sandpaper for electric sander?

Hi All, I'll be getting a Bosch cordless sander and want to know what brand of 180 grit, for paint keying, the professionals would choose. I don't want cheap but something reliable. Cheers Daz

What is the best cordless sander for removing interior paint?

Thanks. Festool is certainly not in my budget unfortunately. Bosch will have to be the one due to cost. I'll grab some of those SurfPrep but not sure what you mean by Mesh is better for filler, paper for gloss?

What is the best cordless sander for removing interior paint?

OK. Thanks very much. A delta sander makes sense then as I can get into all the little corners, etc. with it. As I'm going from a dark grey to a white finish, is there anything I can do to prevent me doing loads of coats?

What is the best cordless sander for removing interior paint?

Hi All, I have a mammoth task of either removing or at the very least keying the surface of all my interior window frames and sills and most likely the staircase too. Is a delta sander or random orbital sander the way to go and what size grit(s) do I need. Any brands better than another on both...

Too soft & thick? If you've got floorboards then surely something soft & thick will absorb any unevenness ?

LVT Underlay - What to use?

I was thinking that as I've already got foam underlay down because of the laminate flooring that I just use that instead and treat the LVT as laminate. Sensible?

LVT Underlay - What to use?

Hi All, I'm going to be renewing the flooring in our upstairs toilet soon. Currently there's laminate on top of foam underlay on top of floorboards. The area is probably only around 1.5 sq meters. Is it 6mm plywood I need to put down on top of the floor boards? It will be the click type of LVT...

Fitting a new bath to pre-tiled walls...advice needed please

Hi All, We're replacing our bath and I was looking at a Crosswater instruction manual where it indicates that you need to place and screw to the wall some metal brackets then tile over them. As we've already got a tiled wall is this going to be an issue? If it is then I need to look at another...
