    Soil in Mortar Joints

Looking at them it maybe better to look at having it rendered over to save you a lot of time, especially if you are having and extension where they would become internal and covered by plaster anyway. my 2pence worth.

    Flat roof to pitched conversion

Where in North Wales are you? I know a few people that do this sort of work who can quote. £23k plus VAT seems a bit much but it depends what they are specifying.

    Dry wall adhesive

Should say on the pack but I wouldn't imagine more than 30 mins before it starts to turn. Pre cut boards enough for one mix then apply them and move to the next lot and keep going you will soon get the hang of it.

Always good to hear a positive outcome!! As for planning its mine field eh!!! When we applied for ours all the comments on the online portal from different departments were against it but the planning officer approved it. Lucky for us we don't block anyone or anything.

    Celotex between Rafters

Thermal bridging for one reason. The roof still needs to breath or you will get rot. As woody says you need to redo your plans and resubmit to BC. On my extension we put 100mm of Kingspan roof boards between rafters and 30mm on the underside.

    Solid Fuel AND Oil...?

Your best bet would be to go to a Gledhill Thermal store that will eliminate a few issues and then no need for the Dunsley Baker Neutralize. Not cheap but then I Think its a great thing to have (I wanted one but as I went for a pellet boiler I am stuck for the 7 years of RHI before I can plumb...

    Adjust fire for wood stove

I think with that oak beam above the fireplace near the roof it would be a shame not to use one in the fireplace. The brick work looks like an apprentice did it so def a good idea to get a bricky in and get it sorted. Make it as big as you can it makes fitting the fire easier also they get...

    Leaking walk-in shower tray

Some pictures maybe required here. I had mine in for 8 months and then it sprang a leak, turned out to be the rubber seal between the waste trap and the actual wetroom tray. I undid it all and reseated and all has been fine ever since. I did however have the foresight to install a hatch below...

Mini Digger in a terraced garden

Might be better off picking a side and digging its way up, if it needs refacing anyway it would save any worry.

Pellet Boiler Installed and happy to help anyone thinking of having one.

Just a quick update, as with the weather improving maybe not so much but still its getting warmer the consumption has gone down. Last week was the least burnt so far at just 110KG, my heating is still on set at 18 on the stat which keeps our system in at the right temps around the house...

    Damp marks on walls

You say its the master bedroom - I think its caused by condensation. Could it be that the loft maybe well insulated but the walls are poorly insulated? We had it really bad (stone wall house so no insulation and LPG combi that was very expensive to run) we fitted a positive air ventilation...

    Combi Boiler Back Up Project

I should say I have a pellet boiler so its again a bit different in the fact you have to have a tank. Love the idea of the electric backup, I may even put on in my garage when its done to give me hot water as there will be a toilet out in there.
