    Leak around bay window

cheers for the reply. yeah i did think it didnt look right, quite shoddy to be honest. We’ve never noticed it before but then we had fresh plaster on and all of a sudden its just appeared straight through. someone suggested it was the build up of condensation on the windows which has run into...

    Bad plastering?

Hi all, i’ve recently had a large room skimmed over as we knocked a wall through. Its all painted and i’m ready to fit the skirting board now, but i’m pulling my hair out because none of the walls seem straight, i’ve offered the skirting up the wall and theres some decent gaps. Its like the...

    Pushfit or compression fittings?

Only issue i’m facing there is that the whole house is originally 10mm and it goes quite far back so i dont think thats an option. So keeping the 10mm in would be fine? I’ve always had it in my head that 10mm is rubbish and i should go to 15mm. So you’d recommend not doing anything with it and...

    Pushfit or compression fittings?

So theres actually a full setup of 10mm going to a rad but its all on show, the kitchen fitter recommended switching to 15mm and then chasing that into the wall. The compression fittings are accessible in the loft space above. Yes they’re CH pipes, again kitchen fitter recommended using...

    Pushfit or compression fittings?

Morning all! Just about to chase some rad pipes into a solid brick wall in the kitchen ready to be plastered over. The pipes come from the loft above. Its 10mm pipe but i want to make it 15mm so my kitchen fitter has told me to put a 10-15mm reducer and a ball valve in the loft before bringing...

    Can i run 15mm pipe from 10mm?

So we had a new boiler and rads fitted a couple of years ago and i’ll be honest i pretty much had the wool pulled over my eyes. The original pipes to the rads were 10mm so I asked the fitter to run 15mm to the rads out of the floor as i feel 15mm looks smarter. He basically told me he didnt do...

What size shower screen should I use?

Yeah so we're going in from not the end of the try but the far left of the tray, if that makes sense. I just hate the look of the flipper panels and its something else to go wrong

What size shower screen should I use?

Hi all, As the title suggests, I'm onto the last part of the bathroom now, fitting the shower screen. I've got fitted an 1800x900mm shower tray and rainfall shower head but i'm unsure what size screen to use, the maximum size i can have is 1200mm as i looked at the 1400mm but it will only...

Connect metal waste pipe to plastic? Can it be done?

I wouldn't say its as serious as to remove tiles/repair walls. The waste pipe is in the right place I just wanted to know what fitting i'd need to connect the 2 pipes. More so to make it look a bit neater

Connect metal waste pipe to plastic? Can it be done?

Yes! I did think these, pretty much got the whole bathroom supplied by them and not a single piece of instructions. I've got no issue finding out info and solving the problem myself but so much of the stuff came without any fitting instructions!

Connect metal waste pipe to plastic? Can it be done?

I did have a look at one of these, in black. Thanks very much. I left all the behind the wall piping to the plumber and i've fitted the basin and shelf, i feel he's thought it was a standard pvc pipe and not a bottle trap.
