    Wet Saw problem

Thanks all. I think I've sorted it. The screw had a washer on it preventing it from being countersunk into the table top, no idea why. I have removed the washer, tightened the nut down so it now sits below the surface like SFK's pic seems ok now. Thanks all.

    Wet Saw problem

It is as in the pic really, splash guard and it's pretty much stuck in place. The other thing that is fouling the tile as I try to push it through is the nut that holds the guard in place - top of tape measure, it protrudes so stops the tile going further than that! pretty poor really and it...

    Wet Saw problem

Thanks big-all for the reply. I am not sure, tried both ways and it will not pass the guard absolutely no chance If I want the cut the tile in half down the middle as one side of the tile is left other over the right with the guard in the centre. Very annoying, suppose that's why it costs £50.

    Wet Saw problem

Hi, Can anyone shed light on this issue, maybe it's me being stupid! I basically can't cut the tile length ways without turning the tile over because the guard mount is in the way. The blue line is where it goes to and then I have to mess about turning it over and it's not great. Any...

    Using Flex to wire Downlights

Any issues doing this? I had a spare 500w outdoor floodlight doing nothing so I've took the flex of that to wire a couple of downlights and the dimmer switch. I was going to get some 1mm t&e but thought I'd use the spare flex. The flex is clipped in the loft. Any problems doing this??

Anything I can do with this?

No idea really on what the sandpaper is to be honest only that I tried 120 grit then 280grit. I have filled and re-sanded it now and just waiting to re-paint it whatever the result I'll stick with it... fingers crossed!

Anything I can do with this?

Funny you say that KenGMac, I shall be looking to install downlights soon as the bathroom is getting totally ripped out so that's possible although just knowing will do my head in! Gone for this approach, bit brutal as the rest of the wall is pretty good but took some 180 grit to it - should I...

Anything I can do with this?

Hi, Can I improve this at all? I basically used some Easyfill to fill the joint then sanded it and painted it with some Zinsser Perma white and when it dried it looked like below. It looked ok when I was doing it but it's beginning to bug me now and I know it will annoy the hell out of me If...

Hot water spluttering since installing Flange

Bump as promised. Ive had time to make some minor adjustments to the pipework leading to the Flange and I also had a go at clearing the airlock via the bath mixer tap and it's better now :) I am not sure which process made it better but happy enough now:) Thanks to everyone for the advice...

Hot water spluttering since installing Flange

Morning bernardgreen I understand what you're saying BUT I haven't plumbed the pump in yet! I will bare that in mind once I connect it up though.

Hot water spluttering since installing Flange

Yes and the ease of install although not sure on the last bit :D I am tempted to do away with the extra elbow and pipe it up EXACTLY as it was before, whilst researching this also I have noticed every pic I've seen it's elbow>straight pipe>into side of Flange - it's even that way on the install...

Hot water spluttering since installing Flange

That's correct Madrab. I do now have an extra elbow connecting the Flange as opposed before it was one like one elbow then straight down into cylinder. I know it's a minor change but maybe that extra elbow is the cause, ideally I wanted to come off the wall>elbow>into side of Flange but...

Hot water spluttering since installing Flange

I will, determined to sort this I don't think I am miles off cracking it to be honest Bath Taps are not too bad now but room for improvement - others are ok.

Hot water spluttering since installing Flange

Yes, I haven't touched them and the overflow is further on to the left out of shot. Yep, easier said than done! Do you think If I shut of the water and then opened all the taps starting downstairs to up would make a difference? tad annoying this Plumbing lark o_O
