    Choosing New Laptop

I'd second the Dell avenue and watching out for all the bloatware and bundled extra free (30 day trial) software. Have you checked out HotUKDeals?

    Mobile -V- Water

I may be a bit late with this info but basically cover your phone with dry rice and that should soak up the moisture. Just make sure you take the phone fully apart first and stick everything in there. Putting it on the radiator would have been a bad idea btw. The direct heat may have caused...

    F25 error on boiler

Hi all I have a British Gas 330+ boiler and the display is showing a F25 fault. From what I can gather its actually a Glow-worm boiler and I've found this manual http://www.glow-worm.co.uk/stepone/data/downloads_sd/6c/00/00/hxi_range.pdf that shows the F25 fault code to be Maximum Temperature...

How to restore an old pine kitchen table

Thanks guys. I shall look at the bits in Wickes and think about the belt sander (don't have one at the moment so would have to invest). I've got the paint I would use sorted for the legs and bits underneath but I'd like to keep the top, once taken back to natural pine I'll probably wax it too...

How to restore an old pine kitchen table

I've seen an old pine kitchen table which I am thinking of purchasing and would like to have a go at restoring it to a country looking style. Its similar to this one and this is the look I'd like to achieve Once I've got it back to bare wood I'm sure it wouldn't be to...

Split one live feed into two?

The control unit is rather small and the terminals are protected yes. I was thinking about putting it in a box so all the interconnections would be enclosed in something to keep them safe. I've no idea if its double insulated or not

Split one live feed into two?

This is what I'm aiming to achieve (fridge will be replaced by heater). 1 through 8 are the connections on the temperature controller. Constant live to port 5 and the controller will switch the feed from 6 on and off as needed. That link to the plug looks pretty sweet :-)

Split one live feed into two?

I need to split one live feed from a 13amp plug into two. I'm wiring up a digital temperature controller and need a constant feed for both the digital temperature controller itself and for the heater it will be controlling. Could I achieve this with a chock block or is there a special...

Do I use room thermostat or boiler settings?

I was fixing a doorstop to a laminate floor with a concrete subfloor so that's when I noticed the difference

Do I use room thermostat or boiler settings?

I know 5mm is 5mm:p I've just noticed tho that my 5mm wood bit is fatter than my 5mm masonry bit

Do I use room thermostat or boiler settings?

Very simples when it's set like that. Thanks :-) Off topic I know but when are 5mm wood bits bigger than 5mm masonry bits? Is it to take into account the vibrations from the hammer action?

Do I use room thermostat or boiler settings?

I have a British Gas 330+ boiler (Installed by previous owner) and it gives me the option to set a temperature which I was presuming was for the central heating but then I also have a Satchwell thermostat (situated on the stairs which looks like its been there since the house was built in 1974)...

Major leak in flat garage roof needs a quick fix.

That's exactly what I wanted to say but didn't quite manage it lol. I'm going to be patching the roof, but the section I shall be patching will be directly above when I can see the wet patch from inside and a bit more just to be safe :-)

Major leak in flat garage roof needs a quick fix.

I'm going to patch a massive section about 2m x 3m. From inside the garage this is the section that is wet. Cheers guys

Major leak in flat garage roof needs a quick fix.

When you say torch I presume you mean a blow torch? Does this felt have some sort of adhesive that activates when it's in contact with the blow torch

Major leak in flat garage roof needs a quick fix.

Sorry I should have said in my original post that I could do with patching a 3m x 2m section as the leak is in that area but not sure exactly where it is

No on both parts. Just looked at prices and it would be easier to buy them than buy a welder kit lol. Should i know someone who can though :-)
