Split one live feed into two?

I need to split one live feed from a 13amp plug into two.

I'm wiring up a digital temperature controller and need a constant feed for both the digital temperature controller itself and for the heater it will be controlling.

Could I achieve this with a chock block or is there a special piece of kit for this kind of thing.

Do you mean a plug, or a socket.

A plug us the thing at the end of the flexible cable from (for instance) a kettle
A socket is the thing in the wall that the plug goes in to.

This is what I'm aiming to achieve (fridge will be replaced by heater). 1 through 8 are the connections on the temperature controller. Constant live to port 5 and the controller will switch the feed from 6 on and off as needed.

More info about the temp controller connections is required.
You say you want a constant feed to the heater item, but also say that connection 8 will be intermittent depending on sensor control.
At present your diagram does not make sense.
What are you intending to use for the incoming mains and outgoing heater connectors?
They could not be sockets and plugs of the normal domestic type wiring.

The controller wiring diagram is incomplete. What is this controller?
Are the sensor and the controller double insulated as they have no earth availability shown.
How big is the control unit? Are its terminals protected or will it need a box?
Could all the required interconnections be placed within such a box?
(eg a surface box with a blank face plate and choc blocs inside?

The control unit is rather small and the terminals are protected yes. I was thinking about putting it in a box so all the interconnections would be enclosed in something to keep them safe.

I've no idea if its double insulated or not

I can't for the life of me work out what's going on inside your head which makes you think you want to split anything.

You supply permanent live, N & E to the controller.

It supplies switched live, N & E to the heater.

There is nothing to split.

So when it's cold, the heater will not come on.

And if somehow it gets warm, the heater will kick in, and never go off again - things will just get hotter and hotter.
