Hi ihave just got a 1996 ford escort. The interior light works manually but not on any of the door switches .have checked the fuse which is OK Looking in the hand book it should have a 20sec delay after closing the door,any ideas please?

HI, have just bought kichen lights wich are switched . The power supply cable has to be fitted to a fused plug,the other end plugs into the lamp this is two pin and can be fitted either way, I thought the brown wire had to make or break on the built in switch other wise the unit would be live...

Hi the size is approx L 130mm X W 45mm X H 40mm. It reads 20/20 quickstart choke for series pair 2ft 20w tubes Cat No. AME 89176-4 made by Thorn. This unit was made up by a sparks many years ago ,it contains two 18 watt tubes and a type 155/200 starter.

Hi I am trying to source a 20/20 quick-start choke for a series pair of 2 foot 20 watt fluorescent tubes to make under unit kitchen lighting to match up with existing lighting. Does anyone know where I can obtain one or an equivalent? Thanks.

I am constructing fitted bedroom units out of 18mm MDF not sure what glue to use. Have been told to use spray on type as supplied by Wickes. Can anybody tell me if this is OK or if they have used it.Does anyone else make it, and would it be better than PVA woodwork adhesive. Many thanks.

The motor is sold separately by Ford approx £180 havent got that sort of dough. Lke to test it with a multimetre but dont know how. I have checked everything else electrically and mechanically,but the car still revs too high when you take your foot off the gas. Thanks anyway.

HI, does any one know how to test a throttle plate control motor on a CFI 1.1 Fiesta and, if faulty can it be cleaned up or repaired. It looks like its sort of a solenoid mounted on the side of the carbureter with four wires going to it.Many thanks PS have looked on E BAY cant see one listed...

Some times the engine speed on my fiesta will not slow down when I take my foot off the gas, even when the car comes to standstill. I was told by some one that it could be a dirty or sticking sensor ,if so where and what is it. Any ideas please? PS the rev counter shows about 2500 RPM.

This problem has been there alway if it is a leak I think I would have found it by now as I have been under the floor many times for electrical jobs and downstairs is a concrete floor.I Wonder if converting to a sealed system would cure the problem. Thanks again.
