Frost protection for exposed polypipe (to external water tank)

Hi We are spring water supplied. It's underground MDPE to the base of our external water tank, which is fine. However the final three feet is a vertical 1 1/4 inch polypipe into the top of the tank. This is exposed to the elements. Any advise on frost protection appreciated. Generally if...

Ethernet over power (powerline) flakey after installing 2 LED floodlights

Title explains most of it! Swapped out two old halogen floodlights (500w) with LED lights (50w). Nothing fancy needed with the electrics. Since installing, my normally reliable ethernet over power plugs (Devolo) are dropping signal almost continuously when the external lights go on (I first...

Render/mortar after DPC work 1800's Yorkshire Stone

Hi I'm in a 1800's Yorkshire Stone (fairly soft) house. I've had DPC done through most of the ground floor, fairly successfully by professionals. The house is directly on to foundations adjacent to a large farm field which catches quite a volume of water. I'm now planning to do 'the...

Lead tap not closing ... and stop tap ineffective - help!

I have an ancient lead tap external to my property. I'm looking to replace this. The stop tap in the house doesn't isolate this as it's on a different feed. I had the water supplier (Yorkshire) come out a couple of weeks ago to locate the stop tap for this ... which is around 200 metres away...
