    Brilliant, I think I'll go for the Mak. OCD 178 - ME 0 Sorry for all the stupid questions, if I buy this one will I need to buy any other bits for it? or is she ready to go? I've read that I might need a finer tooth blade for a nice cut on skirting?

    Many thanks for all the advice. The only reason I look at Makita is because I was told they were decent and I've brought a drill, sander etc all Makita (and also have OCD) and want to keep the same brand if possible.. stupid I know THAT said.. I've found that same Makita much cheaper here...

    so that makita will do 4" skirting? (the one in the link I posted) as I only used bigger skirting in one room as the walls were a mess. All the other rooms should be fine

    Plastering over plaster..

    Hi all, many thanks for the advice The PVA is unibond and cost £20, I never go for cheap stuff. I would also say it's something I've done wrong. I'll try the 4/1 mix and leave it until dry. I'm much more confident at plastering now so I'll be able to skim it alot faster

    Mixing plaster problems

    Thank you for all the great advice I'm certainly enjoying it, it's very challenging and satisfying. It's amazing how the pros make it look so easy.
