Planning a new patio at the moment and would like to include some walkover led lights. May also have some lights in the flowerbed walling to light a step. Current plan is to get an electrician to install a weatherproof socket with a box to house the 12v transformer. My query is how do I...

    Any Stonemarket installations?

Thanks for the info. My local supplier will give a good discount for the amount that I'll be buying. I've seen lots of ads on ebay that look a lot cheaper. What do you think about these places? My local supplier has been very helpful and offer free delivery which seems to be worth a lot...

    Any Stonemarket installations?

Hi, Has anyone laid any of the MarketStone range from Stonemarket? In particular the GreyMulti and BuffMulti. We are thinking about using it for our garden and would like to see some more pics of real installations rather than the catalouge pics which are a bit small. Any opinions on...

Planning a new patio at the moment. We want a couple flower beds in the corners of the patio that are raised. Probably only 2 courses of brick high. My question is should they be built before the patio is laid, then lay the paving up to the bed and cut it into the shape? Or, should I just lay...

    Microbore radiator valve

I would like to take a radiator off the wall and flush it out as its cold at the bottom. There is only one valve that has 2 microbore pipes connected. If I close the tap will that shut off both pipes? It looks like the tap will only close one of them. I can take a photo of it if that helps...

    Garage door advice

I've gt a very old concrete section garage. The doors on it are not staying open properly now and sagging down. I know that its just a matter of tightening the springs, but I'm worried about the mechanism. The pictures show the mechanism and also the worn joint that is worrying me. It looks...

Water being heated when it shouldnt be!

Hi, I've got a small problem with my system. i could live with it, but its probably wasting energy.... The problem is that the hotwater is being heated when the central heating is running. If the hot water cylinder thermostat is turned down the water still gets hot if the heating is working...

    Energy Saving security light bulbs

Hi, I've got a couple security lights in my garden. They often get triggered by cats, therefore wasting energy. I think they are around 500w long thin bulbs. Are there energy saving bulbs available for them? Thanks Alan
