    Air Vent question

    I am looking to buy a flat but have just noticed an air vent in the lounge area on a photograph I took. Could this be to prevent damp? If I was to have it filled in to prevent freezing to death in the winter would it have a detrimental affect to the flat? Picture attached. Thanks for any advice!

    Flat roof with drainage query

    Hi. I am looking to buy a property which has an extension to the rear. The extension has a flat roof with a drainpipe running across it form the above flat's guttering. My question is is it a problem to have a drainpipe running the breadth of a flat roof? Thanks!
