Bosch Classixx Washing Machine - No fast spin

Ok, so managed to get the machine on it's side, remove the motor, and took one of the brushes out, had been worn down to under 2cm in length, reckon this is enough to cause the machine not to fast spin? I have ordered some replacements. Out of curiosity, what would an engineer charge (on...

Bosch Classixx Washing Machine - No fast spin

Ok, so just got home and confirm its a Bosch Clasixx 1200 S Express, unscrewed the central plate on the back, could see back of the drum and belt down to the motor. Seemed a little wobbly than expected, but I guess the drum does have some give. Problem: how do you get to the motor? From...

Bosch Classixx Washing Machine - No fast spin

Hi have a Bosch Classixx washing machine, about 4 years old (will have to find out the actual model). All of a sudden over the weekend, after two washloads, it just didn't want to do a fast spin cycle. This has happened the odd time in the past, and all I have done before is take the cover...

    Polycarbonate Multiwall....

Ok, so I took another look online, and I assume it's the glazing bars you were referring to, these will hold the sheet down, so how much space should I leave between each of my rafters?

    Polycarbonate Multiwall....

Thanks for the reply Mw Roofline! So to be clear, the water to run in the same direction of the flutes right? Ok, will look into 16mm opal. At the moment though it seems I might struggle to get this in one piece at 3 meter by 1.5 meter with shorter measurement being the run of the...

    Polycarbonate Multiwall....

Hi Quick one hopefully, I have been advised to use polycarbonate multiwall for the roof of a lean to structure I am planning to put on the back of my garage. First of all, any problems with this roofing material I should be aware of, I have never used it before - or seen it for that matter...

New Wall Light - No earth though?

Ok, thanks for the replies people! I will check that the earth has not been cut back, if it has then I can extend, if not then I will get the light fitting changed to a double insulated one. Thanks again all.

New Wall Light - No earth though?

Hi, I am planning to replace a wall light in a bedroom. The wall light cabling in the wall however is the older style - black and red type, and appears to have no earth. The new light fitting has a requirement for an earth but what I don't know if this is mandatory. Essentially would...

You are right, and I have been toying with the idea and just cant decide. its going to take longer chasing walls and filling etc. but I think is likely that is what I will end up doing.....I am curious though as to the safe nature of putting the extension flex under the floor.

aco drain placement for water run off at the back of garage

Hi I recently found we get a hell of a lot of water run off from the two gardens at the back of our garden - which are about a foot higher than our garden. The main problem comes from a particular section, at the back of my garage, which incidently has an extended concrete base at the back...

    13a extension

lol, and I was actually going to put down 1.25mm, but ended up putting 1mm down as I did not see 1.25mm flex available on the b&q website. No other way really, was just going to run the 2 gang off a double socket to run: - desk lamp, 25watt dont know the amp fuse it would use (E14 bulb)...

Hi, I need to make a 2 gang extension (approx 3 meters in length). Should I use 0.75mm or 1mm white flex? Thank you!
