Load of nonsense - run it internally. I'm amazed at the amount of external gas runs I see these day. Suddenly internal gas pipes are dangerous, generally the dangerous part is the appliance
All this fuss about no warranty, what do people think is going to happen. If any Chinaware cracks (bar cut or not) the manufacturer would just say impact damage/installation damage. The only claims I can think of would be the glaze cracking or fading and they will wriggle on that I'm sure. Also...
In all honesty the cut will make no difference to the integrity of the china, wall hung wc and bidets happily hang on 10mm of china.
Also if Victorian plumbing, I really wouldnt worry about the warranty - it will be worth nothing
Tbf, I fitted an Ri 10 years ago and balls up the f and r. Customer is a landlord and complete **** and I go back every year - its works just fine, no issues in 10 years. If he had been a decent guy I would have swapped over at my expense
It the insistence that the new WC must the same size as existing that is ****ing me off, I have asked for the said regulation to be provided or black and white figures - Still nothing and not budging, just quoting that is can't be smaller.
We are currently converting an internal garage to a utility and WC. There is an existing WC which will be coming out as part of the plan.
Is there a minimum size for the new WC ?
The building inspector is insisting the new WC can't be smaller than the one that is coming out (2m x .8m). This...
You could argue that if fitting like for like then the assumption is everything existing is correct.
I'm guessing other quotes have mentioned the gas and this one hasn't, so you might get a freebie?
