AFAIK.... you are not allowed to kill the plant but the plant is allowed to die as a result from being cut back to their boundary, as long as there's no preservation order. imagine a line/plane straight up from your boundary/boundaries. cut the plant back to this line. all parts you cut off...

regular pruning encourages the shoots and ergo the leaves. you wont get flowers on a very often pruned bush though, you'll need to let it establish more. whats around the bush? is it fighting more vigorous plants for nutrition?

For metal sheds is condensation really that much of a concern? And is leaving the door open the solution? ie. does it need that much vent? Perhaps a cut out of the roof with an additional overlapping apex would be a solution?
