    Dripping boiler

Hi Tony I had it serviced last year but as this happens so infrequently, I actually forgot to mention it to the engineer. As for flue installation it is a ground floor boiler in a two storey house so the gutter is some way above and doesn't leak. It doesn't drip every time we...

    Dripping boiler

I have a Woscester Bosch pressurised system boiler - about 3-4 years old. It is fitted to a conventional system with radiators and a vented hot water cylinder. Every few months or so water drips from the front right corner. Today I put a container under and collected about half a liter in about...

    Changing virgin master telephone socket

Hi everyone. I am hoping for some advice on my virgin cable telephone wall plate. It is a master telephone socket which has two connectors: A and B. I would like to remove the socket and replace it with a euro-module. I have a PABX Master socket module, can anyone confirm this will work...

    Loose floor tile.

I had my kitchen floor tiled about a year ago. My builder first made good a couple of areas of the wooden floor and then fixed 12mm waterproof ply over the top. Then the tiler laid electric underfloor heating and latex leveling over the top before tiling. He laid 600 x 600 glazed porcelain...

    Sky installed my telephone extension.

Hi Guys When the sky engineer came (don't get me started), he ran a cable from my BT master socket, around the outside of my house and in through a wall near my sky box. He pulled the cable through and put a small female connector on the end connect by two wires. I would now like to replace...

    GU10 vs Low Voltage?

Can anyone tell me the advantage of using low voltage lighting over 240v GU10 dichroic halogen lamps? It seems to me that GU10's would be better as they do not need transformers and can always be changed for LED's when the price comes down. Thanks Grommett

    Underfloor heating

Thanks TTC I put a pendant/light bulb in place of the heat mat and when I turned the heating control on the RCD turned off. I removed the pendant so there is no load and this time the power stayed on. The fused spur is connected directly to a 32amp MCB via about a meter of cable. (Both the...
