    Bosch Worcester boiler service/repair...

My Worcester boiler is in need of a service & repair, would it be recommended to get Bosch to come out and service/repair or should I find a competent local person? Will Bosch be vastly more expensive than a local independent service engineer. Ta

Pic of the week...... Workshop fail!

Today I lost my Snap On spike, scratched head and wondered where I had it last, I used it to remove an airbox on an Audi A6 3.2, outside I go with keys to look and as I open the bonnet it comes to me!! I had dropped spike down side of engine and got side tracked before I could retrieve it! It...

    Audi DSG Auto clutch-any disadvantages?

I have heard of a few control box issues from other forums but usually they are ok, but as Burnerman says, it might be an idea to keep a kidney on standby if you have to pay to fix it!

    Pic of the week.....

Never used one, just googled it and yeah it is isn't it :D They are bad, the head ports were just as bad and this car had also had to have an inlet manifold too! Its common on alot of modern diesels and directly injected petrol engines! Its not a trait of turbo cars, its caused by the...

    Pic of the week.....

Might start off a pic of the week thing, feel free to add your own :) That's one of the inlet valves on a Vauxhall Corsa CDTI 1.3, clogged up with carbon deposits courtesy of the EGR valve! The valve ports were full too!! This was causing the valves to stick which made it difficult to...

VW Bora TDi rear brake caliper pipe.

The washers are built onto the banjo bolt I think, the threads of the bolt prevent them coming off.

VW Bora TDi rear brake caliper pipe.

For future refference BMW sump copper washers are a good replacement for these ally VW washers  Although the short flexi pipe seems stiff it can be squished with a pipe clamp or other dull gripping device :!:

Honda Accord 2004 rear ABS sensor removal problem

I had to change a sensor on a Mitsubishi Shogun last week, a front one, slide in and out they do with a 10mm bolt holding them in, ended up stripping the hub down and belting it with a punch from the disc side, then had to cut the outer casing with a die grinder to get the rest of the housing...

VW tuaran widows open of a night

CCM - Central Convenience Module, Even if this has not got damp it could still be faulty causing the window`s to drop alittle. Maybe get it to a VW specialist who should be able to bung it on a diag machine and scan the CCM for faults, that would be a good place to start.

    VOLVO V50 Key Error.

Do you have another key to try and start the car? If that worked without fault then your main key is faulty, if they both fail at the very least it sounds like the transponder pickup ring that surrounds the ignition barrel might be at fault. You really need to get it on someones diag to pick...

    VOLVO V50 Key Error.

Unfortunatly this is going to be a Volvo diag job, There may be specialists you could search for to contact to see if they will help as they might have diag gear that will read/code your Volvo. Is the key failing to start or lock/unlock?? Does another key work ok??
