I work in a Renault service dept... To be honest, the Laguna isn't a bad car. BUT...If you get a bad one then you should be afraid!!! Best advice I can give you would be this... 1. Make sure cambelt kit has been replaced (due every 5 yrs or 72k) or have it done ASAP if you can't...

    Vent in Floor???

Thanks for the very speedy replies guys. I don't have any gas installations in the same room, or in the livingroom off the dining room. I do have a gas hob in the kitchen (next room) but I presume that wouldn't be an issue, as it also has a cooker hood vented to outside.

    Vent in Floor???

Hi there. I am having my dining room carpet lifted this week & a laminate floor laid. The floor currently has a vent in it which has a grille over it. The floor fitter mentioned that he would just cover over it when he lays the floor, but I'm not so sure, surely it is there for a purpose...

Why can I not fit French doors?

Hi there. I would like to replace my ageing UPVC sliding doors with a nice set of French doors. However, the chap who came out to survey said we cannot fit French doors due to the size of the opening. It looks pretty normal-sized to me. Can anyone give me an idea why we cannot do this, as I...

    Alpha CD13R - Any Good?

Had to have a little smile to myself after your last post Paul, usually I am trawling the internet for info before I buy anything major, however I know nothing about boilers or heating systems, so left it to our usual plumbing company to decide what was best, they are really good & have been...

    Can anyone identify this "THING"

Hi there. On one wall of my living room (an outside wall, next to patio doors) there is a cream coloured item, quite bulky - about 5 inches high & 4 across. It has a small 3-way switch at the right hand side of it's face with the top position marked by a square, a circle at the middle...

    CLIO PROBLEM

I would suggest TDC sensor (replace along with the small wiring loom which goes with it) - We do quite a lot at our Renault site... If not then I would suggest checking injection wiring at rear of engine (top) where it runs through a black metal box about 4 inches square, common for chafing...

Single Radiator Gone Cold - Danfoss TRV (Old Type)

Hi, After 3 or 4 days of having my living room radiator set at 0 on the thermostat, I tonight turned it back up but the radiator has refused to heat up. All other radiators are fine. I suspect it may be a sticking TRV as I have since been informed that you shouldn't turn them to 0. I will...
