    Yes lol i realised that i've gone round the sockets rather than go under them with the tiles and use longer screws not greatly neat but the grout should help that as said only a small area and does look very nice.

    The one with the bars and cutting wheel doing L shaped is just impossible they snap and then that's tiles wasted. thanks.

    Ok i got a cheap b and q tile cutter off gumtree, works fine for straight cuts but i can't seem to do L shapes so that i can tile around the sockets they keep snapping any advice or is a tile scribe needed. thanks.

    Help required

    Ok so i'm going down the taking mortar out route so i've created my line, plan is to use primer and stick the flashing into this gap cover it will cement and stick it over the pvc flashing as shown is this right way to do it.

    ok i've sacked the water seal idea and started painting, now the flashing, i've gone into the mortar and created a nice gap can i still use self adhesive flashing and push it into this gap ? together with primer of course ?

    I thought water seal would create a barrier to stop water getting in the brick ? so u think better to point and paint and then redo flashing.

    another important detail i should have mentioned i did not use primer with the tape just stuck the tape on i presume this would have allowed the water to soak in and penetrate behind ?

    Ok updated, i've removed the sheets away from the beam and soaked it with a hosepipe but no water comes through the wall, i just wonder if water was getting trapped behind the beam and then soaking into the wall as it had no where to go ?
