Would it just be a straight swap wire for wire or would it be more technical. Can the Honeywell dt90e just be used as a stat as I already have a timer for the boiler.

Looking to replace my Honeywell dial stat with a digital readout stat, nothing fancy no wireless. just one to replace it on the wall. I have a Worcester Boch Greenstar 24i System boiler, any recommendations please.

Not sure about the plastic bits being ommited but the ping seems to be coming from the inside of the rad, but as fettlerman says it happens during heating and cooling.

One of my radiators in the sitting room when heat going through it seems to ping as if someone is hitting it with a piece of metal. The radiator was new in the summer but has only started doing it recently. Any thoughts on this please.

Do I need to turn on the outside tap before thawing.

My outside tap is frozen with about 4" of plastic 15mm pipe frozen as well before it enters the house what would be the best procedure to thaw this tap/pipe before it explodes on me, thanks in anticipation.

Thanks Roughcaster short term solution I think for now that is the extent of my ability, I will get it properly repaired and roughcasted in the spring months need to get it sealed pretty quickly with the weather good just now in scotland. Many thanks for your help.

Thanks Roughcaster the cosmetic look doesn't bother me as I can't see it from the house and no one else can, the only thing that bothers me is the rain getting into the crack can I fill the crack with anything that would make it water tight.
