Sunken Bath Install... advice/interest in work??

Thanks for response, the link to my album should work, it does for me, or if you click on my profile, that should show the album. The waste is already in place underneath the boards, all connected up, it runs in the ceiling void below and is centred for the bath. I actually had the builders...

Sunken Bath Install... advice/interest in work??

This is a re-post as I had an initial response, but no follow up. Please see pics on my album. I have had an extension built with an en-suite where I specified a vaulted ceiling and raised floor. The builders have supported a raised 18mm ply floor on a frame built with 6x2 timber, with a...

    Sunken bath into raised floor

I have had an extension built with an en-suite where I specified a vaulted ceiling and raised floor. The builders have supported a raised 18mm ply floor on a frame built with 6x2 timber, with a purpose built space left for the bath to drop into. All supply(flexible) and waste in situ. The bath...

preparing shower cubicle for skimming prior to tanking

I am renovating a shower room, have removed the tiles from the shower area and am leaving the shower base in place as it is decent and solid. In removing tiles, it exposed a gap all round between wall and base up to 30mm deep. I intend to fill this with expandable foam and cut it to the same...

can you lay carpet over solid wood flooring??

i have a 18mm floating engineered wooden floor in my lounge. Is there any reason i cannot have underlay and carpet fitted over it, apart from height issue? It is solidly glued together and has been down for at least 10 years. Would expansion be an issue?

    fireplace advice

Thanks Jerry, input appreciated and I take your point on the 'individualistic' nature of the tiling. This is the tile I propose to use, pretty neutral colour, but I can see how it could date. http://www.worldsendtiles.co.uk/WET%20BROCHURE%20SMALL.pdf I was also interested if anyone has any...

    fireplace advice

I have a large exposed brick chimney breast (full room height x 3m wide) with an approx 650 h x 600w open fireplace with gas supply at floor level. The fire has been removed by previous owner. My plan is to raise the floor level of opening to leave a 'hole in the wall' effect, cover the...

Dremel multi tool uses -circular blade diameter

I need to cut through 16mm engineered flooring neatly along the join to patch in about 1 sq metre. Are there circular cutting blades on a Dremel large enough to make a vertical cut at 90 degrees or would the body of the machine get in the way and force the blade off-vertical? Many thanks for...
