i am just looking at getting my kitchen floor tiled with some ramsey black tiles from b & q £15metre(pack)...but before i do can you guys tell me what i should expect in labour rates per metre or a fixed price for approx 26 sq metres of floor area cheers :)

yeah cheers advance will let you know after their visit...all carcasses are 18mm..the units come built up..what else should i make sure of besides this..ie adjustable legs,soft close doors,end panels the same as door fronts ie high gloss finish..owt else you can think of cheers again :)

where can i get this endurance matt dulux centre ? + what about magnolia supermatt £30 b &q 10l tub says suitable for new plaster that is still drying out ? what expect it to be good quality for that price..how much would the equivalent be in endurance matt magnolia cheers again :)

correctly ..fair enough...but is anyone 100% perfect that does any tradesmans job & im a perfectionist ! lol...surely you do the prep work to ensure a quality finish though after top coats applied.. :lol:

wondered why i had 15 replies ! lol :) yeah have some imperfections guys so am in the process of filling sanding etc plasterer done a decent job but rushed on ls day and finishing could have been better if im being fussy! or should all new dot/dab plaster require no filling sanding at all ?

swaying towards some lv dimmable fire rated mr16 35watt chrome downlights from screwfix reasonably priced tbh + readily availible off shelve... are mr16 lamps any more efficient than other types of lamps eg gu10 etc ? cheers :)

have just given my newly plastered(dot n dabbed) kitchen/diner a mist coat of glidden magnolia water based contract matt bought from dulux centre..i have watered it down approx 30/40% as reccommended..is 1 coat sufficient to seal the new plaster ? or should i give it another coat before i sand...

cheers all replies and yes there is thermal insulation fitted inbetween the ceiling and floorboards..i can try rip it out around the lights to be fitted + will look at these lights from tlc :)

i am after some energy efficient l/v prob led downlights for my kitchen.. im looking at fixed chrome lights,also their is insulation in the ceiling void where they are to be fitted...is there any on the market that cater for thermal insulation in close proximity without the need for a guard over...

i am js having my kitchen/diner plasterboarded out entirely and skimmed...from which i will paint it magnolia,can you guys tell me which type of paint i should go for in that enviroment....i have had 3 bedrooms re-skimmed and just used b & q crown matt magnolia which has given satisfactory...
