    which water tank

the idiot that fitted mine put the second one in my loft. Everything is working fine and I think the only difference really is that some people can only get one type through the hatch and as a result there is a premium for those poor buggers.

    Coax, CAT5e & 2.5mm T&E in the same chase

I need to run some new sockets as well as add a TV socket and network outlet in the living room. I have read on here that LV cable needs to be 50mm from data cable unless it is run in conduit/trunking/etc but does standard plastic oval tube count? If not I'll have to have a bit of a think!

Low energy bathroom downlighters. These any good?

I dont always agree with Ban's approach (though i get why he has it) but in his crusade against spots and downlights I have to wholeheartedly agree with him on this one. Spots are popular because they look nicer, strips are better because they actually work.

Engineered Oak floor in kitchen. Just checking some details

The wife has changed her mind on flooring in the kitchen  It was going to be black tiles but now she wants a wooden floor. Were it up to her then it'd be £10 sqm from B&Q but i prefer to try and do things properly so that it'll last. I have been looking at engineered oak from a popular...

Got a new name for the next decade?

damn you beat me to it! though I have already heard people talking about 2010 and using the words "ohh ten" instead of the current "ohh nine". Though how we shall refer to the decade as a whole I dont know. On the plus side it might prevent a few of those crappy best of albums in 10 years time!
