    Swann outback camera

Hi, I have a Swann outback camera monitoring my drive it records all movement onto sd card, but I'm finding a 2 to 3 second delay between the PIR sensor picking up movement then starting to record, hence as you walk towards it and the infrareds shine there is a delay of a few seconds before...

    Yale 6400 control panel

Actually as I had a DC in my caravan, set to 24 hour, and needed access, so changed to entry, however I ticked entry then the back button, anyway hopefully I will remember to keep pressing the tick button till it goes back to settings, I presume this is the correct procedure whatever setting you...

    Yale 6400 control panel

Hi, when you go into program on control panel, say deactivating a sensor or anything, you confirm your setting via pressing the tick, what button would you press then to get out of programming, only I deactivated a device ( or so I thought ) then pressed the back button, only to find out ( and...

    Yale premium 6400

Go for it marky, you won't be sorry, I admit I was dubious on the wireless systems, but this is my third, which I have just fitted as I moved house, it works as it should and a deterrent, as hopefully burgler bill will see my box n go next door where they have no alarm, it really is easy to fit...

    Yale premium 6400

Actually my control box is within 3 feet of my router AND charging station of my wireless phone, so I think Yale have gone to town on this as with so many signals crossing over each other I have had no problem so far, these cheap foreign imported wireless systems don't help, as with problems of...

    Yale 6400 fire alarm

Hi, I am looking to fit the optional fire alarm, but I cannot find it in most of the diy stores, is this only available from Yale, also when activated does it sound a full alarm or what, as I don't fancy alarm sounding at 7am when my toast is overdone.

    Yale premium 6400

I guess if I could afford the £30 or so a month, I would have an ADT system, however the Yale is a reputable brand, I have had two in the past and have just moved house and bought a Yale again, I have also had a wired system installed by a professional company, but after moving I chose the Yale...

    24 hr setting on Yale

OF COURSE, !!!!! Now why didn't I think of that, that's the beauty of this forum, I now have to learn DC back in as I deleted it, next time I will just change to entry or Burgler, lock it back up n change back to 24hr, thanks !!!!!

    24 hr setting on Yale

Hi, installed 24/7 DC in caravan, all ok, but just wondered if I need to go into van, the DC will have to be deleted, and then set up again after, which is a bit of a faff, but ok, but could I enter just by putting system in standby mode ie program mode, I know this disables the tampers to...

    24 hr setting on Yale

I don't use home setting, I only use alarm when we go out, but caravan isn't protected, so if I put DC 24hr, I know it's protected 24/7, when we are in house at night with alarm off,and when we're out during the day, it's not really any bother deleting DC from control box, as I don't go into...

    24 hr setting on Yale

Right so I can use a different stronger magnet, as I'm hoping to protect caravan as a 24/7 , I presume as soon as I tick 24 on the control box on that sensor DC, it's protected, so if I wanted to enter caravan how do I enter without setting alarm off, am I correct that I would have to delete...

    24 hr setting on Yale

Ok ta, I'll give it a go tomorrow, I would rather use screws than the sticky back fitting, but with a thick rubber surround on frame and the same on door it's Gonna be awkward either way,? But with a bit of ply to bring it out a bit, it may work, with all your DC or PIR fittings do you trust the...

    24 hr setting on Yale

It does say in the manual that a 24 hr device will only work with a DC, however I will try a PIR like you suggested, I'm not so bothered about the caravan being towed away, ( well obviously I am ) but as I have wheel clamps and hitch locks fitted that would be very difficult, I'm more concerned...

    24 hr setting on Yale

Bugger,!!!!! Just read emergency is also a DC, only, everyone out there who has a caravan, knows how difficult it is to put a DC on a door, because of the thick rubber seal going round, anyway there's know guarantee that they woul come through a door as its just as easy to force a plastic window.

    24 hr setting on Yale

It's a 6400 (new) just found out I can only use 25 hr with a door contact and not a PIR, looking more closely into it, it seems to me that when u set devices ie control panel burgler, entry, etc, on choosing 24 hr, then that device is armed with alarm on or off, 24/7, it's going to be a bit...

    24 hr setting on Yale

I have just put a PIR in my caravan which is on my drive, I would like to put it on the 24 hr setting which is obviously 24/7 protection, now my question is, when I go out of my house and set alarm, how do I set it to protect house as normal, ie surely alarm is already on protecting caravan so...

    Yale 6400

Basically that's exactly what Yale told me, but with other forum members saying that there's flash on every movement made me think there was a fault with mine.

    Yale 6400

yes, Yale can be a bit confusing sometimes, I am about to put a PIR up, so will look for that jumper and see what it does,

    Yale 6400

This is my second Yale, as I installed one 5 years ago, only bought this one a week ago, so thought must be a fault as the PIR has never flashed even on my old unit, but speaking to Yale they said the only time you should see them flash is on learning them in, as if they flashed on movement...
