Did I do the right thing?

It's a terraced house - so there is no point insulating the ground floor ceiling as the heat will rise into the first floor. I will just need some quality insulation in the loft. In the stud walls that have all been exposed can I just use loft insulation?

Did I do the right thing?

The initial plan was to remove the old plaster (1910 stone built home) where it was loose and either overboard or drop the ceilings where required. It was old lathe and plaster. Well in the end I had all the old plaster removed from all walls - in and around the door frames some of the bricks...

Need to fit 10 new doors - should I go with mdf or soft wood casing?

Thanks. Well my dad was saying leave the old stuff in - he is a lover of old Edwardian and Victorian homes. They don't make them like they used to- but this house was caked in gharish gloss and all the doors were a bit wonky - but there was no structural issues. I was just trying to modernise...

1500mm wide opening - can I make a door pair using bifolds?

I just had a look at some bifolds from B&Q and it seems they come with a rail which the door slides in - so I wouldn't be able to use them to lie flat against the wall.
