Pressure reducing valve - Trevi Boast

:?: The instructions for the Boast, (I have ordered it now, no going back) state that mains pressure must be between 1 and 3 Bar. I had my pressure tested at the water meter and it's 8 Bar! I will have to fit a PRV, but knno nothing about them. Are they best fitted directly after Stop Cock...

    Power saws and floor boards.

What's the best way of getting up a section of tounge & groove chip board flooring. Is the only way to use a circular saw with a depth control on the blade. If so can you recommend a model that is reasonably priced but will do a good job. Wolfboy.

What is a check valve - instructions for Trevi Boost

For anyone fitting the Trevi Boost I have checked with the manufacturer and the term 'as close upstream as possible' means as close to Shower Head as possible. Now we know. I intend to fit one over next couple of weeks so will let you know how it goes.

What is a check valve - instructions for Trevi Boost

Thanks for all your, I will check upstream bit with the maufactuer. Anyone know a way of checking the mains pressure without using a meter, which I assume would mean spliting the pipe work?

What is a check valve - instructions for Trevi Boost

I have been reading the instructions for installing a Trevi Boost shower. It says that it's essential to fit check valves on both hot and cold supplies, to prevent crossflow. It also says to fit as far upstream as possible. What does the Check Valve do, are they talking about preventing...

Please could you check out images for best place to fit hot feed for power shower (Between cylinder and T or just below first T) Or do you need to connect direct to tank. Also picture of pump, there is a service valve in pipe coming out top of pump. Would this be to isolate the feed from...

Trevi Boost Ventura Shower - Has anyone got one

Hi, I have been researching showers, and I can across this Trevi Boost, which meant to be better than an electric or just tank pressure. (But no pump needed). Anyone got any comments on how good or bad they are, + connection details. Also I was a bit suprised at the cost of the pumps...

    Power Shower - Cofin Tank

Ok, I found the header tank, it's tucked away behind the coffin tank, it's almost impossible to get to. I noticed that in the airing cupboard, there is a 15mm pipe from the pump with a service valve that goes into the loft, could this be a way of isolating the header tank, when draining the...

    Power Shower - Cofin Tank

What's the worst that can happen, I assume the shower will cut out to avoid scolding? Is there a danger of the pump running dry and being ruined? Also, I can't find the header tank for the central heating, it may be hidden somewhere, or could it have been removed when the coffin tank was...

    Power Shower - Cofin Tank

I would like to fit a power shower, and have been researching the topic. It seems fairly standard that the cold feed to the shower comes from the cold water tank in the loft. In addition, this feed must be 6cm below the cold water feed to the hot water tank. However, my loft has been...
