    Cornice/pelmet

The kitchen is a cream high gloss slab. I tried a Jasmine colour silicone, but it doesn't cover it properly and it is almost identical in colour. I'll try some tipex, but I think it may stand out. I am using mitre bond for the joints. I haven't been using the saw in the way JobandKnock...

    Cornice/pelmet

Hi. This is the link to the one I bought. http://www.screwfix.com/p/titan-tct-circular-saw-blade-80t-216x20-25-30mm/85133 It is a sliding saw. It's not just the chips that are bothering me it's also the slight gap between the joint. Is there something else that needs to be done after...

    Cornice/pelmet

Hi Harbourwoodwork. It is a high gloss MDF finish. I don't understand how I can use filler. How do I find out what pattern teeth they are? Thanks.

    Cornice/pelmet

Hi. I am fitting the cornice and pelmet to a newly fitted kitchen and wanted some advice on getting the neatest finish. I am using an electric mitre saw and have put a new 80 tooth blade on. It isn't cutting it as good as I thought and chips the edges sometimes. My issue is joining...

    Transformer size

Thanks guy's. The choice was between a 150w/va and a 210w/va. Is this something that an electrician should know. Although he hasn't been doing it long (about 18 months) he didn't know which one I would need and asked me to find out.

    Concealed shower valve

The other thing that was bothering me was the shower arm. As I am trying to keep everything concealed I used a rear entry arm. The chrome plate that covers the hole is cut slightly smaller and also acts as a flange to stop the arm going through the wall. This also has to go on after the...

    Concealed shower valve

This is what a friend (Plumber) said. However the thin metal plate (weather square, round or rectangular) has to be fitted at the same time. The only thing that can be fitted after is the knobs. I can't do this if the wall hasn't been tiled and I don't want to tile the walls until...

    Concealed shower valve

Hi. Can someone please tell me the best way to fit one of these before plastering. On my old house (extension) I boarded the inside of the bathroom and after tiling the walls I fitted it from the other side. I then had to have plasterers come back for that one wall. Can these be fitted...

    Fence shades

Thanks fencer35. Yes, the two types are pressure treated green and brown, but I was told that the green type is just a clear treatment. It looks to me that they are different materials as well. I'll have a phone around to get the best price. Cheers.

    Fence shades

Hi. I have around 40m of feather edge fencing that I need to erect and wanted to ask a question before starting. I know that you can buy a clear treated and brown treated feather edge piece, but I have also seen fencing that is different shades, something similar to hardwood decking. I...

    Insulation issue

Hi. Can someone tell me if this the norm. I have laid sheets of Celotex to my block and beam floor and I was having liquid screed installed. However, after 24 hours of laying the boards, they started warping and curling up at the edges. The floor screeder said it was to bad for him...

    fit Bathroom before plastering

As you can guess, I've got all the other tradesmen giving their input. I would have preferred to fit a concealed shower valve, but by the looks of it this has to be done from the other side of the wall. I can't see this being possible with both sides of the wall boarded. Thanks.
