    Thanks for the quick replies. I cant find anyone who does slip tees? Or 15mm slip couplings? Any idea who stock's these? The pipe is not currently attached to a rad, its a vertical segment that runs down the a wall into the screed in my basement. I'm tapping off for a twoel rad.

    This might sound an obvious question ... How do I T off from an existing length of 15mm copper? The rad pipe doesnt have much movemt, if I cut it how do I instert both ends of a compression T ?

    Thanks doitall - so just the normal flexible plastic pipe is OK? Can I use push fit (JG Speedfit's) OK?

    Can I use push fit and flexible connectors to add a new rad to my heating system? I'm putting in a towl radiator in a new bathroom and flexible fittings behind the stud work would make my life a lot easier.

    My fiend was painting fairly fresh plaster with this Wickes - Paint For New Plaster, http://www.wickes.co.uk/Paint-For-New-Plaster/invt/194207 Is it OK, rather than use a diluted emulsion mix to begin with? I am about to start painting some plaster that was done 3 months ago.

    Well, thats what the British Gas man said some time ago ... I'm pretty sure the two virtical bitumen pipes are the flo and return for the whole basement. At the base of ezch of these pipes are a 'tap off' on each before they enter the screed ... I gues its been split for the rooms down...

    Thanks doital, much cleaer now. Why does the loop has to be joined under the radiator? Other rads in my system aren't. The two pipes shown in the pic from what I can gather feed in/out from upstairs for the basement circuit for the other 4 rads down there.

    Thanks banm-all-sheds (BTW: what have you got againts sheds?) Sorry typo re . IPX5's Should have read Its all a lot clearer now .... ordering my IP44's today!! PS: Does anyone do a mains extractor shower fan that is IPx4? My electrician told me I must get a 12v one?
