I would go no further than what the lads have said and cut the 15mm above the tee and make sure you have something to poke down i bet you will find it solid with sludge and end up having to force it clear,when its clear get yourself some strong cleaner and leave it in for a week or two then...

If your just changing over to fully pumped then if your quite competent you will be ok as it isnt difficult if you know what your doing just be careful and if your lucky then a couple of tees,blanks and 2 port mzv and you might be done ,it all depends how its been piped before just make sure its ok

Is the air vent open inside the boiler,they are very odd sometimes the juniors if thereis any air in the boiler it wont operate,also make sure presssure s right up and then look at d/valve or flow switch

No of course i dont,but alpha;s(come on)and what i should have said was get rid get a flush and your ok,because alphas arent great and not cheap for spares

I would get rid if you can. It sounds like it needs flushing or get a new h/ex but your not solving the true proplem of sludge and t will affect the new h/ex in the future so get rid unless it turns out to be a faulty stat or the diapraghm on the diverter is gone

Extend waste pipe and get 2 90* elbows,get a 1 1/2 slvent strap on boss and connect on elbow,you can get them were they dont need screwing just glued and then your done
